I love summer. Sure it’s hot and sweaty, but then again, there are the butterflies. Elegant butterfly accessories represents the glory of these wonderful insects. A necklace, butterfly type can completely make your day. To me they represent rebirth and the joy of flight. Anything butterfly in sterling silver can be mixed and matched for a pretty set. I’ve combined vintage butterfly earrings with modern pins for a really nice effect.

Insect jewelry isn’t for everyone, but I do know a lot of interesting women who love a good bug pin, pendant or charm. I proudly consider my self one of their rank! Now of course this isn’t real insect jewelry, but merely an excellent artist’s representation of the little critters. Some people look at me like I’m nuts when I tell them I collect bug jewelry. I guess that’s the price you have to pay for not being “one of the crowd,” but I like it that way!
